Question: How do I become a GCWW certified person?

Answer: In order to become certified with GCWW you must contact Branch Services at branch.services@gcww.cincinnati-oh.gov with your request to take GCWW's Certification exam, and provide a copy of your State of Ohio issued Plumbing contractor's license, or State of Ohio Fire Protection Individual license. Domestic certification will allow you to submit applications for domestic and irrigation services. Fire Certification will allow you to submit applications for fire, domestic, and irrigation services.

  • Small branch reviews are averaging 3-5 business days.
  • Subdivision branch review can take 7-10 days to complete the review process.
  • Large branch reviews are more extensive and can take 60 business days to complete the review process.

These review times vary based on current workloads and do not include time spent obtaining street opening permits or quoted installation timelines that often add 60-120 days for branches installed by GCWW .
