Compost For Free
There are so many ways that you can get involved with composting for free.
- City Sponsored Vegetative Food Scrap drop Off program- Free Service for 3 months, followed by a discounted $4/month fee
- OES has contracted with Queen City Commons to make vegetative food scrap collection more accessible across Cincinnati. Pilot programs are now active in Northside, Hyde Park/Oakley, Downtown/OTR/West End and Clifton/CUF/Corryville featuring:
- Multiple convenient drop-off locations with 24/7 access
- Free indoor food scrap collection bucket available through QCC or OES office
- If you would like your neighborhood to be included in a drop-off program, please contact OES@cincinnati-oh.gov or go to QCC website and let them know you are interested!

- Drop off your food scrapes at the Camp Washington Perennial Farm (3220 Colerain Ave, 24/7 access)
- Click HERE to see the list of accepted materials and submit a request to join the site
- After your request has been approved, join the site on MakeSoil and log your food scrap drop offs every time you visit the site
