Proposed Use of TIF Funds for 5911 Hamilton Ave Acquisition in College Hill
Background
College Hill Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation (College Hill CURC) is an Ohio 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2024. The organization's mission is to revitalize the Hamilton Avenue business district and strengthen the surrounding College Hill community. The project involves the acquisition of the Rock Building, which is currently occupied by Brink Brewing and used for canning and distribution operations. Following acquisition, College Hill CURC proposes to lease the property back to Brink Brewing at a reduced rental rate to support retention of the business within the neighborhood. The funding request is limited to property acquisition and associated acquisition-related expenses. The anticipated Office of Strategic Growth offer is up to $402,500 from the College Hill Tax Increment Financing (TIF) District 27. As part of its community engagement efforts, College Hill CURC has met with the College Hill Forum Board. As of July 2, 2026, the organization had not yet presented the project to the Forum's general membership.
