City of Cincinnati Awards $150,000 in Grants to Grow the Region's Green Workforce
Nov 13, 2025
The City of Cincinnati’s Office of Environment and Sustainability (OES) is proud to announce the 2025 Seeds of Change Green Workforce Grant Awardees. Through this competitive funding round, six local organizations have been awarded a total of $150,000 to expand access to high-quality, green job training and advance the 2023 Green Cincinnati Plan’s goal of 4,000 individuals trained for green jobs by 2028.
The Green Workforce Development Grant is designed to build equitable pathways to quality careers in the growing green economy—supporting education, technical training, and career advancement opportunities for residents, especially from low-income and climate-burdened neighborhoods.
“This round of GCP Seeds of Change funding represents Cincinnati’s commitment to equitable climate action, workforce development and economic opportunity,” said Thanapat Vichitchot, Green Workforce Development Manager. “These projects help connect our residents to sustainable careers that improve both lives and our environment.”
