Mar 22, 2022

The WarmUp Cincy Matching Grant Program provides funding for capital upgrades of multifamily buildings with low-income tenants, matching owners’ energy efficiency improvements one-to-one, up to $5,000.  The upgrades must directly reduce the cost of electricity bills, not natural gas usage, and result in verifiable energy savings for tenants living at or below 200 percent of the Federal Poverty Level. Eligible expenditures include wall, window, or other infrastructure insulation; recycling and replacement of old appliances with Energy Star–certified models; central air conditioning; and efficient water-flow fixtures, among others.

Guidelines and Criteria can be found here, and the Application links can be found under Matching Grants for Building Owners in the Apply section. An info session recording can also be watched. The deadline for this round of funding is April 1, 2022. The deadline for the next round of funding is be July 1, 2022

WarmUp Cincy is a suite of energy efficiency initiatives developed by the City of Cincinnati in partnership with Duke Energy Ohio.

To date, xxxx building upgrade projects have been selected for grant funding.
