Downtown Street Traffic Saturday for Girls on the Run 5K

CINCINNATI – Girls on the Run is a transformational learning program for 8 to 13 year-old girls that teaches life skills through dynamic, conversation-based lessons and running games. The program culminates with the girls being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5k running event. The goal of the program is to unleash confidence through accomplishment while establishing a lifetime appreciation of health and fitness.  The Girls on the Run will hold their Fall race this Saturday, November 16. In order for this race to be held downtown, the following streets will close at 9:30 a.m. and remain closed until approximately 12:00 p.m.:

• E Pete Rose Way - closed between Broadway and Eggleston Avenue (Closes at 9:00 a.m. for Start Line Construction)
• Mehring Way - closed between Freeman Avenue and E Pete Rose Way
• Johnny Bench Way - closed
• Ramp LL - closed
• Joe Nuxhall Way - closed south of Freedom Way
• Elm Street - closed south of Freedom Way
• Central Avenue - closed south of Third Street
• W Pete Rose Way - closed between Gest Street and Central Avenue
• Gest Street - closed between Third Street and Mehring Way
