City of Cincinnati Honors Public Service Recognition Week
Since 1985, cities across the U.S. have set aside the first week of May to recognize Public Service Recognition Week and honor those who selflessly serve their communities as government employees.
Typically, the City of Cincinnati would commemorate this week with great fanfare at a ceremony on Fountain Square; however, due to our ongoing battle against COVID-19, we were forced to do things a little differently and host smaller functions across departments. Here are just a few images of those celebrations.

The Department of Public Services recognizing their team of hardworking employees who keep our city clean, safe, and operating properly! #PSRW

The Cincinnati Health Department, taking a moment from administering vaccines to honor National Nurses Day and to thank our City’s nursing staff for their service, sacrifice, and commitment to keeping us all healthy during these times. #PSRW

City Manager Paula Boggs Muething and Council Members Jan-Michele Kearney, Betsy Sundermann and Liz Keating recognizing the record number of women in senior leadership positions in the City of Cincinnati during the inaugural Leading Ladies of Government social. #PSRW
