The Cincinnati Health Department will hold a virtual “Local Conversations” event to seek input from Cincinnati residents regarding their concerns, and to identify strategic priorities regarding health disparities and equity efforts where they live, work and play.

In 2008, the Ohio Commission on Minority Health launched the “Local Conversations” Initiative, funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Minority Health: “National regional conversations based on the National Partnership for Action to End Health Disparities were initiated to bring together local state, tribal and federal experts, and practitioners from the private and public sectors to lay the foundation for a comprehensive community-driven, sustained strategy.”

The goals for this event are to discuss what brings a community to life, health problems in the different neighborhoods, and helpful programs and services available to the community.
