Streetcar Progress Update: March 6, 2015

5th & Walnut Intersection Trackwork Closure Postponed

Weather conditions have postponed trackwork on Walnut Street through the intersection at 5th for a second week. This work was originally scheduled to be performed last weekend, but was rescheduled due to weather.

The work is rescheduled to start Friday, March 6 at 7 p.m.. The 5th and Walnut intersection will close at that time until Monday, March 9 at 6 a.m.

5th Street will be closed at Vine Street.  Eastbound traffic on 5th Street will be detoured north at Vine Street.

Detours will be posted.

Progress Last Week:

Crews encased the conduit underneath Court Street.

Foundations for the pavers were poured....

...and the pavers were installed.

An old water valve is being replaced on Main Street near Gano Alley.

Crews leveled poles for the overhead power system on Henry Street.

Nearby, at the Maintenance & Operations Facility, rail was installed in the narrow pit.
