Accessibility
The Connector is accessible to everyone. It is one of only two systems in the country to feature 100 percent low-floor streetcar vehicles.
This means the floor of the streetcar is level with the curb, allowing quick access for wheeled vehicles (bicycles, strollers, wheelchairs, scooters and personal shopping carts). The dual-sided access doors allow the streetcar to operate on either side of the street, as needed to minimize traffic conflicts.
Audio announcements and visual aids such as Braille and designated seating for individuals with disabilities, make the Connector accessible for all.
SORTA operates a shared-ride public transportation service, providing origin-to-destination transportation in small buses for people with disabilities that might prevent them from riding Metro buses or the Connector. If your origin and destination is within ¾ mile of the Connector’s route, your ride on Access is also fare free! Visit https://www.go-metro.com/accessibility/access-program or call 513-632-7586 for more information on how to use Access.
