Transit with EZFare: New Cincinnati Bell Connector Mobile App

Oct 23, 2019

CINCINNATI -- Users of the Cincinnati Bell Connector now have a new, easy way to purchase streetcare fare on their smartphone. It will also help them plan their trip.

Transit with EZ Fare

Streetcar tickets are now available for purchase within the Transit app’s EZFare feature. Transit app -- already a leader in real-time transit tracking -- has partnered with mobile ticketing leader Masabi to create the new EZFare feature within the app. The new feature offers riders a one stop shop for fare payment and tracking. All riders need to do is download the Transit app to get started. Riders do not need to download any other apps. Current Transit app users will see the payment feature within the app beginning today.

Transit app will sell the following passes:

  • $1.00 Two-Hour Pass plus a $0.20 service fee because fare is under $2 ($1.20 total)*
  • $2 One-Day Pass
  • $0.50 Child Two-Hour Pass plus a $0.20 service fee because fare is under $2 ($0.70 total)*
  • $2 Two-Hour Two-Pack
  • $2 Child Four-Pack
*Service fee goes to the app developer Masabi; the City does not receive any funds from this service fee. The fee is only for payments made using the app. Pass purchases at ticket vending machines do not incur a service fee.

Metro 30-Day Passes, Day Passes and Transfers will continue to be accepted as fare payment on the streetcar.

Transit app with EZFare replaced the Cincy EZRide app. Riders with unused tickets in their Cincy EZRide wallet after Oct. 30 will have through June 2020 to use those tickets.
