Tobacco Free Living
The Tobacco Free Living (TFL) program improves the quality of life for Cincinnati residents by addressing tobacco-related health disparities, conducting community-based education on the harmful dangers and health risks associated with tobacco/vape use, and pursuing and supporting tobacco policies.
Tobacco use remains the leading cause of preventable death in the United States, responsible for more than 480,000 deaths each year. Smoking harms nearly every organ in the body and contributes to serious diseases such as cancer, heart disease, and lung disease. While cigarette use has declined, vaping has introduced new risks. E-cigarettes often contain addictive nicotine and harmful chemicals, and their long-term health effects are still being studied.
