  • Report a complaint regarding a dog that is being walked off leash.

More Information:

  • According to Cincinnati Municipal Code 701-2: When off the premises of the owner, keeper, or harborer, a dog must be kept on a leash under the reasonable control of some person who is of suitable age and discretion. This does not apply when a dog is within a designated dog park. Chapter 701, broadly, speaks to animal regulations.
  • If this is regarding a stray dog, those investigations are the responsibility of Cincinnati Animal Cares (the Hamilton County Dog Warden).

Process:

  • Complaints are received by the 311 center and routed to the Cincinnati Police Department.
  • CPD's process regarding dog complaints are described further in Police Procedure 12.115.
