  • Animal bite/scratch-dog

Used to:

  • Used to report a dog bite suffered by a human, or a scratch that breaks the skin, to the Health Department for follow-up.

More Information:

  • A bite, scratch, or contact with saliva may indicate a rabies exposure. 

Process:

  • Within 72 hours, a health specialist will contact the dog owner to attempt to get information on the dog's rabies vaccination status. This information will be relayed to the victim.

Safety information:

  • For immediate medical assistance, call 911.
