Transdev Hires Luke McCaul as General Manager of Cincinnati’s Streetcar
CHICAGO—Transdev is pleased to announce that Luke McCaul has been named General Manager of Cincinnati Bell Connector operations. He assumes this role today and will replace Interim General Manager Mark Young.
McCaul brings an exceptional background from more than 15 years of progressive roles and responsibilities at Pan Am Railways, the largest regional railroad in North America, based near Boston. As General Manager of Operations, he was responsible for the daily operation of 136 passenger trains and more than 60 freight trains operating in complex urban and suburban rail environments. He managed 150 employees in all customer service and operational areas and brings knowledge of best practices for compliance with DOT and FRA regulations. His primary focus has been on ensuring safe operations, and providing top quality service while motivating his employees to perform at their best every day.
“We are impressed with Luke’s focus on the details that translate to daily operating success,” said Ken Westbrook, Transdev’s President of the Rail Division. “He understands at every level how to build and maintain a successful system — from enhanced customer service and uncompromising safety practices, to encouraging discussions with front-line employees. We are thrilled he is part of the team.”
McCaul started at Pan Am Railways in 2002 as Train Operations Manager. He advanced to Assistant Director, to General Superintendent and finally to General Manager. A dedicated railway enthusiast, McCaul is an active member of the American Association of Railroad Superintendents, Boston Street Railway Historical Society and the New England Electric Railway Historical Society.
