Proposed Sale of City-owned Property in Riverside
Background
In 2021, the City Manager directed the Department of City Planning and Engagement to conduct Community Engagement activities for projects that meet the following criteria:
-
When the City Administration will propose to Council an appropriation for a loan or grant of public funds of $50,000 or more to support a specific private development project; or
-
When the City will sell or provide a long-term ground lease of City-owned land or buildings with a fair market value of $50,000 or more to support a specific private development project
Proposed Project
Hilltop Basic Resources, Inc. proposes the vacation and sale of City-owned property in Riverside for the relocation of their operations. The request includes approximately 0.256 acres of Mississippi Street right-of-way and approximately 0.181 acres of Southside Place right-of-way. The property was appraised at $57,099, requiring community engagement.
The City Planning Commission will consider the vacation and sale of these portions of City-owned right-of-way at their meeting on April 21, 2023 at 9:00 a.m.
