Ziegler Park Expansion

Background:

The City of Cincinnati has requested that 3CDC take the lead in the expansion of Ziegler Park. 3CDC previously collaborated with the City and various other partners to revitalize Ziegler Park, expanding the park from 1.4 to 4.5 acres and adding several new amenities. The renovation was completed in August 2017. The park’s expansion involves the extension of the pedestrian-only park space onto Woodward St. and a portion of Yukon St. (impacted areas shown in red below).

Meetings:

As part of the Ziegler Park expansion, the City will be reviewing the closure of Woodward St. and a portion of Yukon St. The November 28 public engagement session will focus on presenting information on the street-related changes, answering any questions from the public, and accepting feedback on the proposed changes.

In addition to this street-closure engagement session, 3CDC is holding its own community engagement meetings, working with Black Art Speaks. During those separate sessions, 3CDC and Black Art Speaks are seeking community feedback on public art and activation of the proposed park expansion. Meetings were held on November 15 and 17, and an online survey is available. As the public art and activation are developed based on this initial feedback, engagement outreach will continue.
