Streetcar Alignment
The Connector is an electric-powered streetcar that operates on a 3.6-mile loop, connecting Cincinnati's Over-the-Rhine and Banks neighborhoods via the Central Business District. The service is free and runs 365 days a year.
The streetcar cannot operate if vehicles are obstructing its path. Parked vehicles on the streetcar route pose a safety risk not only for those in the vehicles but also for streetcar passengers. Therefore, blocking the streetcar is against the law.
Identifying Tracks + Safe Distance
-
Do not park on or near streetcar tracks.
-
Avoid driving, stopping, parking, or crossing over double white lines with diagonal stripes.
-
If you must park in a space between the tracks and the curb, ensure that your vehicle is outside the solid single white lines, including side-view mirrors.
-
Always check for streetcars before leaving your vehicle and opening your doors.
-
Do not park in no-parking zones or truck unloading zones.

Violations
Parking enforcement has dedicated staff to ensure the streetcar tracks remain clear and unobstructed by parked vehicles. Because of the safety threat illegally parked cars on the streetcar tracks pose, vehicles in violation may be towed and/or fined $100.
