Temporary Body Art Licensing and Events

 

The Cincinnati Health Department Environmental Waste Unit licenses and inspects temporary body art events (tattooing, body piercing, microblading, permanent cosmetics) within the city limits.

A Temporary Body Art License is required for anyone wanting to do body art outside their licensed establishment on a temporary basis at an event.

 
To Apply for and Obtain a Temporary Body Art License:

 

  1. Contact the Health Department at 513-564-1782 and notify them of the event.
  2. Download the Temporary BA Event Application
  3. Pay the license fee at:  Pay Direct Link 
  4. Return all required paperwork to the Cincinnati Health Department. (See instructions on page 2 of the temporary body art license application.)
