Kellogg Closed Between Stanley & Wilmer Tonight for Repairs to a Water Main

UPDATE as of Thursday, June 29:
Crews are repairing parts of Kellogg Avenue damaged by yesterday’s water main break. Through traffic is allowed but this stretch of Kellogg is reduced to one lane in each direction during non-rush hours and will continue to be restricted until crews finish Friday afternoon.
- During afternoon rush hour from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., two eastbound lanes and one westbound lane will be open.
- During morning rush hour from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., two westbound lanes and one eastbound lane will be open.
CINCINNATI – Kellogg Avenue will be reduced to one lane in both directions between Stanley and Wilmer avenues during rush hour from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. today, Tuesday, June 27. Crews are on site repairing a broken water main.
Please note: All lanes in both directions are currently closed and will close again after rush hour at approximately 6:00 p.m. to allow crews to continue making repairs to the main and affected roadway.
Eastbound traffic on Kellogg is being detoured via Stanley to Eastern Avenue, to Airport Road, then Wilmer and back to Kellogg. Those heading west on Kellogg are being detoured at Wilmer, to Airport to Eastern, then Stanley and back again to Kellogg.
Law enforcement officers are on site to help direct motorists.
Motorists are encouraged to find alternate routes to their destinations this afternoon and evening.
Crews for Greater Cincinnati Water Works will continue to inspect the area for additional breaks throughout the evening.
The contractor for Duke Energy expects Kellogg to fully reopen by 7:00 a.m. tomorrow morning, Wednesday, June 28.
