Ridge Avenue Rehabilitation Project
The Ridge Avenue Rehabilitation Project coordinates roadway resurfacing with necessary water main replacement in Oakley and Pleasant Ridge. Additional safety improvements will be incorporated, including:
- New marked crosswalks and traffic calming features at select intersections
- Closure of a sidewalk gap south of the railroad crossing
- Updated pavement markings and signage
- Addition of a center turn lane in portions of the corridor to reduce rear-end and sideswipe crashes and improve traffic operations
- Street resurfacing to smooth the railroad crossing approach, improving the roadway profile and reducing vehicle impacts.
Replacement of the Water Main in Oakley is currently underway and will continue into Pleasant Ridge through the end of 2026. Road Repair work is expected to begin in Oakley at the start of 2027, and in Pleasant Ridge in Spring of 2027.
Construction will continue through the remainder of 2027. Access will be maintained as work progresses, though drivers should expect lane closures.
This project is funded through Cincy on Track resources as well as state and county grants, including OPWC and MTIF.
These safety enhancements support DOTE’s Vision Zero goal of reducing traffic-related injuries and fatalities.
