Erie Avenue & Murray Road Safety Improvements

The Erie Avenue & Murray Road Safety Improvements Project is a planned safety and connectivity project along Erie Avenue from Saybrook Avenue to Murray Road, and along Murray Road near its intersection with LaCrosse Avenue.

The project will redesign key intersections, enhance existing bike lanes by adding protection, fill a gap in the sidewalk network on Murray Road, and improve connections to the existing trail system, making the corridor safer and more comfortable for people walking, biking, and driving through Hyde Park, Oakley, and Madisonville.

The project is currently in the design phase. Community input will help shape final design details. An open house is planned for Fall 2026. Check back here for updates.

This project is primarily funded through Ohio Public Works Commission (OPWC) and Metro Transportation Improvement Fund (MTIF) grants.
