About the Office of Strategic Growth
The Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) is officially disbanded, effective May 22nd.
DCED has been replaced by the Department of Opportunity and Resident Services (DORS) (513) 352-6146 and the Office of Strategic Growth (OSG) (513) 352-3456.
Large-scale development and neighborhood projects are handled by OSG.
Smaller-scale neighborhood projects that do not require underwriting are handled by DORS (think placemaking, gateway signage, etc.). DORS also coordinates Community Council support, homeownership and homelessness initiatives, and residential tax abatements for single-family homes.
Importantly, the approved Fiscal Year 2027 budget more than doubles the amount of capital available for neighborhood development and support.
