Media Alert: Duke Energy to perform infrastructure replacement in Downtown Cincinnati
WHAT: As a part of its ongoing work to provide safe, reliable natural gas service,
Duke Energy will perform an infrastructure replacement project in downtown Cincinnati. The project encompasses Walnut Street between Central Parkway and Seventh Street, as well as Court Street, in both directions, and Oneida Alley. The work is expected to begin in August 2025 and conclude in January 2026, barring weather events that may impact the project timetable.
This project involves replacing 1,800 feet of natural gasline, which will impact traffic on Court Street, both directions, and Walnut Street, between Central Parkway and Seventh Street. It will not impact Cincinnati Streetcar operations or Cincinnati Metro buses.
Duke Energy personnel in cooperation with Cincinnati Police will work to assist motorists traveling around the downtown area.

WHEN: August 2025 to January 2026 between the hours of 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays.
WHERE: Downtown Cincinnati on Walnut Street between Central Parkway and Seventh Street, including Court Street, both directions, and Oneida Alley.
