Queen City Triathlon Street Closures

CINCINNATI, OH – Take on the challenge of the Queen City Triathlon, Duathlon and Aquabike at one of the most exciting race events on the Ohio River! Athletes from Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and beyond will converge in downtown Cincinnati for a thrilling day of triathlon, duathlon and aquabike competitions. Plunge into the Ohio River for an open-water swim framed by the city skyline, power through a closed-course bike ride along Columbia Parkway and finish off strong with an epic run across the Purple People Bridge to Kentucky and back. The Queen City Triathlon will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2025.  In order to accommodate this event, the following streets will close on Sunday, June 22 at 530AM and remain closed until approximately 1100AM:

  • Columbia Parkway- closed between downtown and Delta Avenue:
    • EB Fort Washington Way forced to northbound 71
    • EB Second Street sent to northbound 71 or E Pete Rose Way
    • EB Fifth Street sent to northbound 71/ southbound 471
    • Northbound 471, no access to eastbound Columbia Parkway
  • Mehring Way- closed between Joe Nuxhall Way and E Pete Rose Way
  • E Pete Rose Way- closed between Broadway/ Taylor Southgate Bridge and Eggleston Avenue (local access maintained)
  • Eggleston Avenue- closed between Sentinel Street and E Pete Rose Way
  • Monastery Street- closed south of Baum Street (No access to Eggleston Ave/ Third Street)
  • Kemper Road- closed between Riverside Drive and Francis Lane
  • Taft Road- closed between Collins Avenue and Columbia Parkway
  • Torrence Parkway- closed between Herrick Avenue and Columbia Parkway (Local access to Torrence Court will be maintained from Madison Road)
  • Audubon Street- access closed to Columbia Parkway

           

Motorists are reminded to use caution around the event site and to use alternate routes is possible.
