Little Miami Scenic Trail Extension
The Elstun to Ranchvale Trail Extension is part of an effort to expand connections to the Little Miami Scenic Trail (LMST), one of the region’s most significant shared-use trail networks.
This project will construct approximately 1,300 feet of a new off-road shared-use path along Beechmont Avenue between Elstun Road and Ranchvale Drive, improving access to the LMST for Mt. Washington residents and creating a safer, more comfortable route for people walking and biking.
The project replaces an existing on-street bike lane with a 14-foot-wide shared-use path separated from traffic by a landscaped buffer. Improvements also include drainage upgrades and minor signal enhancements at nearby intersections.
This segment represents an early step toward a future trail connection to Crestview Place, further strengthening neighborhood access to the Little Miami Scenic Trail.
The Elstun to Ranchvale portion of the project is currently nearing completion of the design phase. Bidding is anticipated in summer 2026, with construction expected to begin in fall/winter 2026. Check back for updates as the project progresses.
