Recycling Collection Service Information

The City of Cincinnati's Recycling Program is managed by the Office of Environment & Sustainability (OES), an agency within the City Manager's Office. A few things to know:

  • All single-family households and multi-unit complexes with 4 units or less that currently receive curbside garbage collection are eligible for curbside recycling, at no additional cost.
  • OES contracts with Rumpke for curbside collection. Recycling is not picked up by the City of Cincinnati's garbage trucks, which are operated by the Department of Public Services.
  • You can learn what you can and can't recycle on the Recycling Program's website.

Process:

  • Recycling-related 311 requests are routed to OES (and, if applicable, Rumpke).
