- It is important to note for the Health Department if a resident or visitor has come into close contact with an animal for a possible rabies exposure.
Process:
- A health inspector will contact the complainant to determine if there has been a potential rabies exposure and will contact property owner(s) to advise on ridding the premises of raccoons/bats.
- A health inspector will conduct an onsite inspection. If a violation is observed, orders will be issued to the responsible party. Reinspection(s) will follow to monitor for abatement.
