CINCINNATI STREETCAR ON DISPLAY ON REDS' OPENING DAY

See the new streetcar at Washington Park and learn to be streetcar safe

CINCINNATIEveryone shows support for the Cincinnati Reds on Opening Day… including the Cincinnati Streetcar.

On Monday, April 4, a Cincinnati Streetcar will be parked at the station at Washington Park on Elm (across from Music Hall) near the Findlay Market parade route until after the parade.

Staff will be on hand to answer questions and provide safety information about the streetcar.

With testing ramping up in advance of the beginning of passenger service in September, the streetcars will be moving along the route much more frequently, and it’s important for the public to learn about streetcar safety. Safety outreach will continue in the coming months.

Background:  Opening in September 2016, the Cincinnati Streetcar connects The Banks and riverfront, downtown and Over the Rhine.  The Cincinnati Streetcar is owned and funded by the City of Cincinnati.  The Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority manages the streetcar under contract with the City of Cincinnati. Transdev handles day-to-day operations and maintenance activities under contract to SORTA.
