Changes Made to Cincinnati Bell Connector Ticket Vending Machines
Updates to make it easier to purchase streetcar passes
CINCINNATI – Several changes have been made to the streetcar ticket vending machines to make it easier for customers to purchase tickets.
At the request of the City of Cincinnati, the following changes have been made to the ticket vending machines (TVMs) located at each of the Cincinnati Bell Connector’s 18 stations:
- Streetcar tickets purchased at the TVMs will now come auto-validated and are ready to use without any additional steps
- Streetcar fare options are now displayed more prominently on the screen
- Less paper used as receipts will only be issued for credit cards and failed transactions
- New informational decals have been installed on the TVMs, including height measurements for children under 35 inches who ride free and children under 45” who ride for half fare
The Cincinnati Bell Connector’s fare is $1 for a 2-hour ticket or $2 for an all-day ticket. Those who wish to pre-purchase non-validated passes for use on a later date or group passes in quantities of 20 or more may order them from Metro’s sales office located in the Mercantile Center at 120 E. 4th Street.
Customers are also encouraged to skip the TVM lines and download the free Transit with EZFare app to their smartphones, which is the most convenient way to purchase streetcar tickets.
