18K+ Rides On Cincinnati Bell Connector During Bengals Home Opener Weekend

Football and music festival drew many to streetcar this weekend

CINCINNATI – With the Bengals home opener and the MidPoint Music Festival bringing thousands to downtown for the weekend, the Cincinnati Bell Connector provided more than 18,000 trips between Friday, Sept. 23 and Sunday, Sept. 25.

Ridership, based on automatic passenger counters using FTA-approved sampling method:

• Friday, Sept. 23:           5,109             (3,000 budgeted average weekday ridership)
• Saturday, Sept. 24:       7,933             (1,500 budgeted average Saturday ridership)
• Sunday, Sept. 25:         4,964             (990 budgeted average Sunday ridership)
• Total:                           18,006

Riders are encouraged to skip the lines at the ticket vending machines and download the Transit with EZFare app for easy fare payment on their smartphones.
