Streetcar Progress Update: October 20, 2014
Westbound Central Parkway to remain closed at Main this week for water main valve installation
The current closure of westbound Central Parkway between Sycamore and Main streets will continue through this week until 4:00pm on Friday, October 24 while crews finish up tie-ins on water main valves. This is the third of three tie-ins taking place in October in the same area.
Travelers heading west on Central Parkway will be detoured south on Sycamore to Ninth Street to Main and then back to Central Parkway. Eastbound Central Parkway will remain open. Lanes will also be restricted on Main between Central Parkway and 12th Street through Wednesday, October 15.
Please note: Vehicular access to the Hamilton County Jobs and Family Services building will be prohibited from Central Parkway.
Race Street track work to close portion of Race, Findlay Street near Findlay Market next week
Beginning Monday October 27th, streetcar track construction work will close Race Street between McMicken & Elder and Findlay Street at Race. These streets are expected to remain closed for three weeks through Monday November 17th.
Access to ALL Findlay Market parking lots will remain OPEN during this time using the following:
o North lot via Elm to Findlay
o South lot via Vine to Elder to Race
o West lot access unaffected
Starting Monday November 17th, streetcar track construction will restrict Race Street between McMicken and Elder. Race Street is expected to be reduced to one lane for 4 weeks through Monday December 15th.
Access to ALL Findlay Market parking lots will remain OPEN during this time using the following:
o North lot via Findlay from either Elm or Race
o South lot via Race
o West lot access unaffected
Pedestrian access to Findlay Market across Race St. will remain open.

Progress Last Week:
Representatives of the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) toured the Maintenance and Operations Facility last week.
Crews pour the shelter foundation at Stop#15 outside the Public Library on Walnut.
Crews poured concrete at the new track rounding the corner of Henry and Race streets near the MOF.
This track along Henry Street will be the entrance and exit for streetcars coming and going from the MOF.
