Road Closures Planned Downtown, Riverfront for Sunday’s Heart Mini
CINCINNATI – Various streets in the Downtown and Riverfront areas, as well as Columbia Parkway, will have to close for most of Sunday, March 10 for the annual running of the Heart Mini Marathon.
Most of the roadways will fully close at 4:30 a.m. Sunday. Other lane restrictions, detours and traffic pattern changes will go into effect at that time as well. That includes the closure of the Taylor Southgate Bridge.
Access to all residential properties located within the closed area will be maintained. Metro bus service will be rerouted around the closure area.
Traffic is expected to return to normal by 5 p.m. that same day.
Below is the complete list of road closures/lane restrictions:
- Fifth Street – closed between Walnut Street and Columbia Parkway; closed between Culvert Street and Eggleston Avenue
- Fourth Street – operates as 2-way between Broadway and Pike Street
- Lawrence Street – closed
- Main Street – closed between Fourth Street and Sixth Street
- Sycamore Street – closed between Fourth Street and Seventh Street
- Broadway – closed between Fourth Street and Seventh Street
- Sentinel Street – closed between Culvert Street and Fifth Street
- Sixth Street – closed between Columbia Parkway and Walnut Street; exit ramp from Interstate 471 – closed
- Seventh Street – closed between Broadway and Culvert Street
- Culvert Street – closed between Reedy Street and Third Street
- E. Pete Rose Way – closed between Eggleston Avenue and Broadway
- Riverside Drive – eastbound closed between Eggleston Avenue and Bains Street
- E. Mehring Way – closed between Joe Nuxhall Way and E. Pete Rose Way
- Eggleston Avenue (southbound only) – closed between Reedy Street and E. Pete Rose Way
- Taylor Southgate Bridge – closed
- Columbia Parkway – closed between Fifth Street and Delta Avenue
- Kemper Lane – closed between Columbia Parkway and Francis Lane
- Martin Street access ramp to westbound Columbia Parkway – closed
- Taft Road – closed between Collins Avenue and Columbia Parkway
- Torrence Parkway – closed between Herrick Avenue and Columbia Parkway
