Status Update: Ohio River Flooding
Feb 26, 2018
CINCINNATI – After a week of flooding affected traffic and parking in areas across the Greater Cincinnati region, only a handful of roads and streets remain closed to traffic heading into the weekend.
As of Friday afternoon the only major thoroughfare within Cincinnati city limits that remains closed to traffic is Mehring Way between Sixth Street and Freeman Avenue in Downtown Cincinnati. Several smaller streets between Riverside Drive, Kellogg Avenue and the Ohio River remain closed to non-residential traffic.
All other roadways should be drivable at this point in time. Some minor roads may be closed periodically for operational reasons.
From a riverfront parking pespective, all entrances/exits are open in Central Riverfront Garage, including Pete Rose Way West. Portions of P2 level of Green/Orange block remain closed. Lot D opens Monday. South entrance/lower level of East Garage reopens Saturday. Please note that not all elevators in the facility are working yet.
The City is using all available means to communicate these road closures and parking considerations through the City;s website (Cincinnati-oh.gov) and its various social media accounts including @CityOfCincy, @RoadmapCincy, @CincyPD on Twitter as well as the City’s Facebook and Nextdoor accounts.
