Mehring Way Closure Between Sixth Street and Freeman Avenue

Mar 03, 2021

CINCINNATI – As Ohio River levels continue to rise, the Stormwater Management Utility will begin installing sandbags at Mehring Way and Carr Street for flood protection on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at approximately 3:00 PM. This will require the closure of Mehring Way to all through traffic between the Sixth Street Expressway and Freeman Avenue. Local access will be maintained but a detour will be installed directing all through traffic around the closure. The road closure will be in place until the river recedes to normal levels later this week.

Drivers are encouraged to reduce their speed and use caution when approaching the closure area.

Updates will be provided on the GCWW Twitter site (@CincinnatiWater).
