Lane Restrictions on Norwood Lateral for Litter Pick Up
Aug 23, 2020
CINCINNATI – Daily lane restrictions will be in effect on state Route 562 (Norwood Lateral) this week for a litter pick-up blitz.
During the week of August 24, crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation's Hamilton County maintenance facility will team up with staff from the cities of Cincinnati and Norwood to pick up litter along the Norwood Lateral. While the Lateral is maintained by ODOT at the I-71 and I-75 interchanges, each city is responsible for maintenance within the respective corporation limits.
On Monday and Tuesday, August 24 and 25, various single-lane closures will be in place on S.R. 562 East, between I-75 and I-71, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Following this, crews will shift work to the westbound side of the route, and lane closures will be in place between the interchanges from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, August 26 and 27.
Work will be contingent upon the weather, and arrow boards and/or signs will alert motorists of the work zone and restrictions. Of course, to help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
