- Report zoning complaints about a residential property. The following are examples of what could be reported: parking on unpaved surfaces, parking in a front yard, location is being used a business (auto repair shop, hair salon, etc.), chicken/rooster complaints, excessive amounts of signs, and portable storage containers on the property.

- It is important to provide contact information if the inspector must enter your building or rear yard to make an investigation.
Process:
- A Buildings and Inspections inspector will investigate the complaint within five business. If the inspector identifies a code violation(s) then a Notice of Violation is issued to the property owner to correct the violation within a reasonable time period (normally 30 days unless a serious safety hazard requires correction sooner).
- The inspector will follow-up after the Notice due date has expired and escalate enforcement if necessary.
- If no code violations are confirmed, the case will be marked “CLOSED” with notes of the inspection result.
