More Information:

• It is the responsibility of the property owner to maintain the sidewalks adjacent to their property. For more information, view the Department of Transportation and Engineering's Sidewalk Repair Program. 

Process:

• The Department of Transportation and Engineering will inspect the sidewalk and will make temporary repairs if necessary.
• If the sidewalk is adjacent to private property, DOTE will notify the property owner of their responsibility to maintain the sidewalk. 
• If property owner fails to complete the required work, the City will complete the repair. Any repair costs and administrative fees are the obligation of the abutting property owner, per Cincinnati Municipal Code 721.147.
