Incident Description:
Fire companies were dispatched to a report of an entrapment across the street from Engine 18's
firehouse at 478 Wilmer. A car had veered off the road and gone into a wooded area. Firefighters had
to use power tools to cut through vines and shrubs to access the car where they rapidly extricated one
patient who was immediately transported to the hospital. The firefighters then rescued the patient's
dog who was apparently uninjured but very frightened. CFD members used elements from the FIDO
kit to provide water and help calm the pet. The dog was taken into the care of the Cincinnati Police.
