Winter is here…! Join us each and every Saturday at the Trailside Nature Center for a variety of nature themed programming. All free – and FUN! All programs either meet or take place at the Trailside Nature Center.

January 3 – No Programming Closed to be with family.

January 10 – Trailside Travels: Dry Creek Trail Join us for a winter hike along the dry creek, looking for signs of dormant life getting ready to wake up in the spring. Note – terrain is rocky and uneven. Sturdy footwear is recommended.

January 17 – Bird Collages: Make your own bird (or create art of a real-world one!) using paper feathers. Learn to identify 10 local birds as we enjoy the activity at the feeder stations.

January 24 – Spiral Bracelets: Learn to make a simple spiral bracelet using hemp cord and learn a little bit about our native hemp dogbane and other traditional fiber plants in our area!

January 31 – CinciNaturalists: Turtle Time Meet our resident eastern box turtle Stumpy, learn her story, and find out how we can help protect box turtle populations from habitat loss, the pet trade, and car strikes.
