CCA Director
John Kennedy, Director, began his career as CCA Director in September 2025. Prior to joining the City, Mr. Kennedy obtained his bachelor's degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. After graduation, he went directly to the University of Cincinnati School of Law to obtain his juris doctorate. Mr. Kennedy then pursued a career as a public defender with the Hamilton County Public Defender's office, where he was most recently the Director of the Common Pleas Division. Along with his trial work, Mr. Kennedy also supervised a staff of felony trial attorneys and a panel of private attorneys who took court appointments.
