The City of Cincinnati’s Health Department is seeking to fill a full-time Dentist position. This employee is responsible for the provision of general dental services in a community based health center and supervision of staff therein. Must hold a license to practice dentistry in the State of Ohio and show evidence of immunity to or inoculation against the hepatitis B virus.

2. BY U.S. MAIL – Download application forms from this site, complete them, and return them by first class U.S. Mail to the City of Cincinnati Human Resources Department, Two Centennial Plaza, 805 Central Avenue, Suite 200, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202. Application and supporting documents must be postmarked no later than the closing date. You may submit your detailed resume in lieu of the Work Experience Form. Please enclose a copy of your driver’s license or state ID card with your mailed application package.

TRANSCRIPTS showing your qualifications for this position must be submitted by the deadline date. The City does not maintain a transcript file; you must submit transcripts with each application you submit. You may submit a readable photocopy of your official transcripts in lieu of requesting a new copy from the school for each application. Please note: copies of unofficial versions or internet printouts of transcripts are NOT acceptable.

QUALIFICATIONS: Each applicant must have a Doctor's Degree in dentistry (D.D.S. or D.M.D.) from an accredited college or university. Previous professional dentistry experience preferred but not required. Must have a valid Driver's License. Must be an excellent communicator and team builder. Must have a licensure to practice dentistry from the Ohio State Dental Board. Must retain licensure. All required experience must have occurred within the last (5) five years. You are required to show your valid driver's license or state ID card to the Human Resources Department staff NO LATER THAN THE DEADLINE DATE FOR FILING APPLICATIONS. Must be a resident of the State of Ohio at the time of appointment.

A criminal background investigation will be conducted for this position (according to Civil Service Commission Rule 15 – Sensitive Classifications/Positions and the Critical Infrastructure Protection Act of 2001 and the Patriot Act). The purpose is to detect security risks and prevent security threats posed by potential employees.
