For the first time in Cincinnati Fire Department (CFD) history, a female reports for duty as a Fire Captain. Melissa Arnold, a 17-year veteran of the Cincinnati Fire Department, is one of four females in the history of the CFD to hold the rank of Lieutenant. This week, she blazes a new trail with her promotion to Captain. Arnold will serve as Captain of Engine 49 (Madisonville).
