Incident Description:
Cincinnati Fire Department units were dispatched to E I74 to investigate multiple reports of a vehicle resting on its side in the middle berm after it collided with the guardrail. The initial arriving company confirmed said reports and immediately began working to free the driver trapped inside. Due to the vehicle's orientation, crews had to remove its roof to extricate the driver; properly placed supports prevented the vehicle from moving while this was performed. Afterward, the driver was transferred to the on-scene medic unit and transported to University Hospital for further treatment. All E I74 lanes are currently opened, but were shut down for a couple of hours while the accident's cause was investigated; for further information contact CPD.
