Cincinnati Firefighter Elected Executive Vice President Of International Association of Black Professional Firefighters

The Cincinnati Fire Department congratulates Firefighter/Paramedic Kenyatta Smith for being elected as the Executive Vice President of the International Association of Black Professional Firefighters (IABPFF).

FF Smith is a 13-year veteran of the Cincinnati Fire Department (CFD), and a 2nd generation Firefighter/Paramedic. He served two terms as the North Central Regional Director (NCR) of the IABPFF. He is also the youngest ever to be elected to the position of Regional Director.

He held various positions within the IABPFF, including: Corresponding Secretary of the NCR and local chapters; Sergeant-at-Arms; and Vice Director. He was also the 1st Vice President of the Cincinnati African American Fire Fighters Association (CAFA).

As Vice President of the IABPFF, FF Smith's responsibility will be directed towards the welfare of the United States, United Kingdom and the Caribbean minority firefighters and communities that they serve.

He currently serves as a youth mentor; works with three local Boards who distribute annual scholarships to high-school seniors. In addition, FF Smith coordinates two significant community projects: CAFA’s School Supply Drive and the Holiday Toy Drive which annually serves over 9,000 inner-city children.
