LANE CLOSURES ON COLUMBIA PARKWAY FOR BRUSH TRIMMING, PAVEMENT WORK

CINCINNATI, NOV. 5, 2021 – Various daily lane closures will be in place the week of Nov. 8 along Columbia Parkway
between Eggleston Avenue and Beechmont Avenue as crews for the city of Cincinnati trim
brush and apply an anti-skid surface treatment to a section of the roadway.

Through traffic will be permitted at all times during both projects; however, motorists should
expect various, intermittent lane closures wherever crews are working.

Beginning on Monday, Nov. 8 at 9:00 a.m., crews from the city’s Department of Public
Services will begin brush trimming at Eggleston and proceed toward Beechmont over the
following several days. The project includes work on ramps at Bains Street and Eastern
Avenue at Phyllis Lane.

On Tuesday, Nov. 9, crews will begin pouring an anti-skid surface treatment at 9:00 a.m.
along a curved stretch of Columbia Parkway near Audubon Street just east of the William
Howard Taft Road-Torrence Parkway intersection. It’s part of a street rehabilitation project by
the city’s Department of Transportation & Engineering.

Both projects are expected to wrap up by Friday, Nov. 12, weather permitting.

Motorists are reminded to use caution near the work zones for their safety and the safety of
work crews. To avoid delays, detour via Eastern Avenue.
