Public Encouraged to Take City Survey on New Glenway Avenue Street Design
Apr 12, 2023
CINCINNATI – The City of Cincinnati is seeking public input on its newly installed, temporary traffic-calming measures along Glenway Avenue in West Price Hill.
The new traffic pattern includes one lane in each direction on Glenway between Beech Avenue and Shirley Place, a two-way left-turn lane and full-time on-street parking in the curb lane on either side of the road, depending on the location.
The changes address long-term speeding issues identified by neighborhood residents, the West Price Hill Community Council and businesses in the area. More than 700 crashes, including 15 involving pedestrians, have occurred on Glenway since 2020.
The changes will remain in place through the summer to allow all users the opportunity to assess the new design and to provide feedback.
Residents, commuters and others who use Glenway are encouraged to take the city’s online survey, which is offered in English and Spanish via the following links:

► Apreciamos sus comentarios (Espanol)
“We look forward to getting feedback from those who travel on Glenway,” said John Brazina, director of the city’s Department of Transportation & Engineering (DOTE). “The community’s input will be an important part of our analysis.”
DOTE will analyze traffic data and review feedback from the public to determine whether the changes are effective and there is enough support to make the new design permanent. The same street design has been used to successfully reduce speeding and calm traffic in other neighborhoods in Cincinnati.
