Background
Crews are replacing the westbound or north side of the bridge first. Through traffic is otherwise allowed via one lane in each direction.
The $5.7 million project to replace the bridge deck began in late April and is scheduled to be completed in June 2022. It is being paid for with state and county funds. The bridge straddles the border of Arlington Heights to the east and Hartwell to the west.
Drivers are encouraged to use caution when approaching the area.
