Jergens Park in Northside is transformed by Northside Community Council leadership and volunteers in the community to provide a safe and inclusive space to Trick or Trick away from the dangers of vehicular traffic. The decorated gated park complete with paved/stone pathways also provide a welcoming place that reduces barriers for trick or treating children, who may otherwise encounter obstacles in traditional door to door Halloween festivities.

Additional crossing guards are stationed throughout the neighborhood’s busiest intersections to increase safety of those outside the park and/or traveling to the event. Our quiet-street or apartment dwelling residents facilitate the event by passing out candy and sharing in the enjoyment of the Halloween festivities!
