Graffiti - General Information
The City of Cincinnati is committed to our effort to keep the City’s neighborhoods clean, safe, and healthy; addressing illegal graffiti is one of the ways we do that.
You can report graffiti that needs to be cleaned up on public and private property. The location of the graffiti is what dictates where 311 will route the request.
- Graffiti on private property (any property or surface owned by a person, business, or other private entity) is the responsibility of the property owner. Complaints regarding graffiti on private property are routed to the Department of Buildings & Inspections to be handled through the code enforcement process.
- Graffiti on public property (any property owned and maintained by the government) is the responsibility of the applicable government agency. For bridges, roadways, metal traffic signal boxes, and metal poles in Cincinnati, this is typically handled by the Department of Public Services.
